May 68
Website Design
May68 is a new concept in women's fashion, with an imaginative laud to the past. It’s inspired by simple and elegant designs that transcend trends, and is run by Fashion Powerhouse April Folan.
Their brand was most recently featured on ModCulture Magazine, Los Angeles Magazine, and Retro to Go and is known for it’s mod appreciation and very cool retro style.

May 68’s founder April Folan and Nice Design worked together to take her ecommerce site to the next level, turning your everyday casual online browser into a full on shopping power user.
Knowing that May 68 users needed more visibility into finding product, we aimed to do UX, creative, and information architectural consulting for the launch May68 2.0.
With such a unique curated clothing collection, we were excited to work with April in creating not only a beautiful shopping experience, but also in further developing the story that is May68.
Our Role
May 68 Before
May 68 had a vision for their concept, which was centered around user experience and usability.
Some of the main things we wanted to tackle first were:
Mobile: Updating, hamburger menu touch-ability, Image updates, Product labeling updates
Navigation: Create Navigation Dropdown and create easier touch-ability for mobile finger tap
Homepage: Tell a story within the image tiles
Product Pages: Remove any nested information and bring it out front
Cart: Fresh update for easy user experience
Style Guide
Pulling from the beautiful imagery that April had curated over years of photo shoots, we were able to create a Web Style guide that reflected the essence of May68.
Because we were working within the Shopify Platform, we wanted to utilize a theme that gave us all the UI and UX elements we were looking to achieve.
Once we were able to determine a theme, we created the style guide and documented the technical constraints needed for updating and curating content, so that it would always be fresh to the user’s eyes.

Mobile Banners
Once we were able to determine the new hompage hero image dimensions, we created various banners that would rotate in order to showcase new collections, or upcoming events with mobile visibility as a priority.

Final Result: May 68
2.0
As a women run business ( yes- we are women run!), working with another women run business was very exciting for us.
With the new launch of May 68, there is now beautiful story telling imagery, clear product information, and easy navigational abilities for its current and future customers.
This was one of our favorites projects to work on thus far, and are proud to have helped April and May 68 bring their beautiful vision to light.
